Leek is an allium and falls into the same category as onion, spring onion and garlic. However Leek is richer in some vitamins and minerals compared to onion and is a much sweeter and milder alternative.

These are great baked whole or cooked into quiches and frittatas. You can also eat them raw in salads we love ours onto of a raw miso ramen.
