This milk came from a cow on the Clarence River this week. Tim and Julie Bale's farm sits at Southgate - just outside Grafton, about 40 minutes from Yamba - and what they make is exactly what ends up on your doorstep. Nothing added, nothing removed, nothing skimmed.

Pepe Saya was founded in 2010 by Pierre Issa, a Sydney-based buttermaker with Lebanese-French heritage who spent more than a decade building one of Australia's most respected artisan dairy brands before turning his attention to milk. After 10 years of dreaming about it, he chose the Clarence Valley as the home for his dairy - and Tim and Julie's farm on the Clarence River as his single source. That's not a coincidence. This region produces exceptional milk, and Pepe knows it.

CVO is a proud Milk Bottle Library partner.

Switching your weekly milk to reusable glass saves around 14kg of single-use plastic per household every year.

1. Order your glass milk

Add the 1L Unhomogenised Glass to your weekly order before Sunday at 9pm.

2. Enjoy, rinse, remove the cap

When your bottle is empty, rinse it and remove the cap (it can be recycled separately). Check the bottle for any chips or damage before setting it out.

3. Leave it out on delivery day

Put your clean bottle on the doorstep with your empty box. Liam picks it up and brings it back to our warehouse. We return it to the farm on our regular stock runs.

4. $2 credit in your CVO account

Every returned bottle earns you a $2 store credit automatically applied to your next CVO order. No voucher, no fuss. Glass bottles cannot be returned for cash.

Ordering two bottles a week? That's $4 back every delivery - $208 in store credit over a year

More about the Milk and why CVO are stocking it:

We've had a long relationship with Pepe Saya - when Bree used to run flying Fish restaurant in Pyrmont this was the butter we used, we also ran an incredible truffle dinner collaboration with Pepe's butter and Duncan Garvey. Pepe's cultured butter has been part of CVO x Bay Properties exclusive hospitality boxes, and it's the butter we serve at our community events. When Pepe told us he was bringing milk to the Clarence Valley, it felt like things falling into place.

Shake the bottle gently before pouring. The cream rises to the top the way it always should have.
