Just down the road from our Yamba warehouse, a small family bakery has been quietly doing something extraordinary since 1988. Pure Life Sprouted Bakery has spent over three decades perfecting the ancient art of sprouting: no flour, no additives, no shortcuts. Just whole biodynamic grains, filtered water, and time. They are Australia's longest-serving sprouted bakery, and they happen to be our neighbours.

The Essene Supreme is where it all started. A classic blend of biodynamic sprouted wheat and rye, it's dense, coarse, and deeply nutty. The kind of bread that fills you up properly and loves your gut in return. Sprouting transforms the grain before baking, breaking down phytic acid, unlocking nutrients, and making everything far easier to digest than conventional bread ever could be.

Toast it thick and top with avocado. Or just butter. It doesn't need much.

Ingredients: Certified biodynamic wheat and rye sprouted with filtered water. Cooking aid: certified organic extra virgin olive oil (trace, to release loaf from pan).
